In a recent press release, Red Bull has announced that Daniel Ricciardo will be on loan to AlphaTauri for the remainder of the season and will line up in Budapest for his first race for the team.

The press release did not say which driver he is replacing but it can surely only be F1 rookie driver Nyck de Vries.

On the AlphaTauri Instagram page there is no mention of Nyck, just a post congratulating Daniel on his return.

Many of the comments are quite savage towards the team for not acknowledging Nyck anywhere in the post.

Another thing to consider is, who will train Daniel? His old trainer, Michael Italiano, who’s been with Daniel for many years is currently training Daniel’s teammate, Yuki Tsunoda. Michael staying with Yuki or switching to Daniel will prove awkward either way.
