Liam Lawson was unhappy with his teammate Arvid Lindblad after being spun by the British driver during the Turn 1 carnage initiated by Franco Colapinto.
Lindblad clipped the inside of Lawson, spinning him out when trying to avoid contact with cars ahead that were taking evasive action from the barrelling Alpine.
In response to being spun, Lawson was quick to make his frustrations known over the radio.
“I love being taken out by my teammate,” he said.
“That’s sick.”
After the race, Lindblad approached Lawson mid-interview to apologise for the incident.
Despite taking out his teammate, Lindblad brought home an important haul of points for Racing Bulls, with a stunning photo finish in seventh, beating Esteban Ocon for seventh by just 0.03s.
With Alpine taking themselves out of points contention, Racing Bulls increased their lead on the Enstone team in the Constructors’ Championship to 15 points.
