Men of the Paddock

Silverstone is one of the biggest events on the Formula One calendar, attracting an incredible mix of drivers, team principals, athletes, celebrities, and influential figures from around the world. From world champions to sporting stars and the people working tirelessly behind the scenes, here are 10 men who caught my eye during the British Grand Prix weekend.

Max Klymenko – Best known for his hugely popular Career Ladder videos, Max Klymenko has built an audience of more than two million Instagram followers. Named Creator of the Year in 2025, he even managed to convince me to feature in one of his videos!

Jamie Vardy – One of England’s most recognisable footballers. The prolific striker most recently played for Serie B side Cremonese after an illustrious career that included Premier League glory with Leicester City.

Sir Brian May – Legendary guitarist, songwriter, and co-founder of Queen. Sir Brian May remains a familiar face in the Formula One paddock and is always warmly welcomed by fans.

Damson Idris – actor, entrepreneur and film producer. Notably, he starred in the F1 movie alongside Brad Pitt.

Nigel Mansell – British former racing driver who competed in F1 from 1980 until 1995. He won the World Driver’s Championship with Williams in 1992 and won an impressive 31 Grand Prix across his 15 seasons. He’s president of the charity ‘UK Youth’ which helps tackle youth loneliness in the community.

Fix Network World / Harry Dhanjal – Harry Dhanjal represents Fix Network World, a global leader in vehicle, home, and commercial repair services. The company is also a multi-year partner of the Haas Formula One Team.

Mo Gilligan – Award-winning comedian and television presenter, Mo Gilligan, brought his trademark energy to Silverstone, joining the many celebrities attending Formula One’s biggest British event.

Laurence Edmondson – ESPN’s lead Formula One editor who has covered the championship around the world for many years. Away from journalism, he’s also a talented photographer with a keen eye for capturing life behind the scenes in the paddock.

VCARB crew member – Behind every successful Formula One team is an army of dedicated mechanics, engineers, and support staff. Their work often goes unnoticed, but without them there would be no racing.

Gino Rosato – One of the paddock’s most recognisable personalities, Gino Rosato spent almost three decades with Ferrari before a brief spell at Lotus and a return to Maranello. His long career in Formula One has made him one of the sport’s most respected and well-known figures.
