Spotted in the Paddock

Watches of the Paddock

It’s no surprise that the biggest F1 race of the season featured some of the most impressive watches I’ve seen this year. From rare Richard Milles to elegant Patek Philippes, the British Grand Prix paddock was packed with remarkable watches. Here are a few that stood out.

First up, a stunning 1-of-1 diamond set Richard Mille worn by professional fencer, Miles Chamley-Watson. The red band and blue face felt particularly fitting for the location.

I spotted a Frederique Constant Classic Worldtimer Manufacture. From the 2026 collection, this watch features a world map and 24-hour disc & city ring – very handy for those that frequent different time zones.

A beautifully understated Patek Philippe Twenty~4 added a touch of elegance to the paddock. Crafted in 18k rose gold with a diamond-set bezel, it proved that sports and luxury can go hand in hand.

One watch that immediately stood out was the TAG Heuer Carrera Calibre 16 Chronograph. Its striking blue dial contrasted brilliantly with the stainless-steel bracelet. TAG Heuer’s presence in Formula One continues to grow after returning as the sport’s Official Timekeeper in 2025.

Rarity always catches my attention, and the MHD Streamliner certainly did. Limited to just 200 pieces, its design draws inspiration from the streamlined styling of the 1930s while incorporating a practical 24-hour sub-dial that doubles as a power reserve indicator.

A watch brand that needs no introduction is Rolex. This particular model is a Rolex Sky-Dweller known for its Jubilee bracelet. Like the Frederique Constant mentioned above, this watch displays multiple time zones for those that travel often.

Perhaps the most futuristic watch I saw all weekend was the Amida Digitrend Open Sapphire. Originally conceived so drivers could read the time without taking their eyes off the road, its unconventional design has made it one of the most talked-about modern releases.

Bright straps proved popular throughout the weekend, and the vivid orange FP Journe Élégante was impossible to miss. It features an ingenious standby function, automatically entering sleep mode after 35 minutes without movement to help preserve battery life.

Orange made another appearance on the SANDA G-Style Sport Watch. While far more affordable than many of the watches in the paddock, its rugged design makes it a practical choice for busy race weekends.

The last watch that piqued my interest was this Patek Philippe Aquanaut Chronograph with midnight blue dial and strap. I found it to be an intriguing combination of both sporty and elegant style.
