It’s fair to say F1 loves the Singapore Grand Prix. The race has been run on the current street circuit since 2008 and has recently extended it’s agreement to 2028.

The beauty of this event is everything is so close to the track. There are hundreds of hotels available in all categories although those closest to the track command the highest prices especially if they offer views of the track from the rooms.

Thankfully the race takes place at night which means the temperature drops a few degrees but not the humidity, so dress accordingly.

KYM'S TIP

If there’s one race you’ll want to be in an air conditioned corporate suite it’s Singapore. The heat and humidity can be stifling so if you’re budget will allow it, book a corporate package.

The Singapore Eye provides a dramatic backdrop and you can even ride the ferris wheel while the race is on for a bird’s eye view.

The cars average just under 180km/hr for a lap. There is only one track with a lower average speed and that’s Monaco, so overtaking in Singapore is tricky and the safety car has been called upon at every single previous race.

Note too that this is the only race that you cannot book F1 Experiences packages because the circuit retains all of the corporate hospitality stock.
