Watches of the Paddock

The Formula 1 paddock is always a great place to spot exceptional watches, and Hungary certainly didn’t disappoint. While there were plenty of remarkable timepieces on display throughout the weekend, these were a few that stood out from the crowd.

This first one is a customised Rolex Cosmograph Daytona by Artisans de Genève, known as the “La Montoya” model. It’s part of a limited-edition project created in collaboration with ex Formula 1 driver, Juan Pablo Montoya.

There was more than one Rolex in the Hungaroring paddock. This is a Rolex Yacht Master. As the name suggests, this watch is made for sailing – waterproof, durable, and still luxurious!

This one-off IWC Big Pilot’s watch was custom made for Mercedes Team Principal Toto Wolff. It features the team’s signature turquoise colour throughout the design, making it a unique timepiece that’s instantly recognisable to Formula 1 fans.

Next, this Omega x Swatch watch stood out across the paddock. It features a small image of Snoopy on the face, and depicts the earth and moon phases in real time.

There was another Rolex in the paddock. This is a Rolex Cosmograph Daytona with diamonds set around the edge of the dial, and a very blingy face! Under the Hungarian sun, this watch was hard to miss.

This next watch is a Tissot PR516 Automatic Chronograph with a distinctive blue tachymeter bezel, a white “panda” dial, and blue sub-dials. This watch is both sporty and luxurious, making it perfect for wearing in the F1 paddock.

It’s not every day you see a fluorescent yellow watch in the paddock. This is an Invicta Racing Saphirex watch. This is certainly one of the more affordable watches out of this collection, but it’s anything but dull.
