Audi F1 Team is building a new campus just one kilometre from its current base in Hinwil, Switzerland, as part of a long-term project.
The new campus has already begun operations and is scheduled for completion in 2030, with the current base remaining operational throughout the development before being repurposed as the team’s manufacturing centre and wind tunnel operation.
Audi’s operation will be split between three bases, with power unit development continuing out of Neuberg, Germany, and the team’s technical centre in Bicester, in the United Kingdom.
CEO and Team Principal Mattia Binotto emphasised the importance of the team developing an environment that will attract the best talent in F1.
“We are not simply moving into an existing facility; we are creating a home designed around our people, our culture and our ambitions,” he said.
Hinwil was the home of Sauber since 1970, and the F1 operation had existed for 33 years before Audi bought the team in 2024 to enter the sport under the new regulations this year.
