About Oscar

Oscar Piastri turned professional in 2014 and went on to compete in various Australian races and karting championships. The following he competed in the European karting championship.
Oscar made his single seater debut in 2016 in the Formula 4 UAW championship and in 2017 he joined the British F4 championship and came 2nd overall.
In 2019, 2020 and 2021 Oscar drove and won the championships in the Formula Renault Eurocup, FIA formula 3 series and FIA formula 2 series respectively. Becoming the first driver to win 3 consecutive feeder series’ championships.
In 2022 Oscar was the reserve drive for Alpine and an acting reserve driver for McLaren. He was announced that same year to be driving for McLaren in 2023 alongside Lando Norris and replacing fellow Australian Daniel Ricciardo.
