About Yuki
Yuki Tsunoda is a real character and the only Japanese driver on the grid. He’s also the shortest driver on the grid, just 159cm as well as being the lightest 54kg – he has a healthy appetite, in fact, he speaks often about his love of food during interviews.
In 2018 the then 18 year old won the Japanese F4 championship, he finished third in the 2020 F2 championship and was picked up by Alpha Tauri, debuting for the team at the 2021 Bahrain GP.
Yuki started the 2021 season off strongly with a 9th in his first race but then struggled to match his team mate’s performances although he did finish the season with a career-best 4th in Abu Dhabi.
Yuki is also one of just a few drivers not to have a manager, instead his team manages him.
After 2 races in 2025 it was announced that Yuki Tsunoda would step up to replace Liam Lawson at Red Bull from the 2025 Japanese GP onwards.
