About Nyck

Nyck de Vries started his racing career in karting in 2004 and quickly rose through the ranks, winning multiple national championships. He then moved to single-seater racing, competing in the Formula Renault 2.0 series where he won the championship in 2014.
De Vries continued his success in the Formula Renault 3.5 series, earning several podium finishes and becoming the series runner-up in 2016.
He made his debut in the FIA Formula 2 Championship in 2017, finishing the season as a championship contender. In 2018, de Vries won the Formula 2 championship with several wins and consistent high finishes.
In 2019 he signed as a Mercedes AMG F1 test driver and participated in several tests that year. Later that year he made his Formula E debut, becoming a full-time driver for Mercedes-Benz EQ Formula E Team and won the championship in his second season.
In 2021, de Vries was signed as an official test and reserve driver for the Alpine F1 Team.
In 2022 Nyck was announced as a full time driver for the Alpha Tauri Formula 1 team for the 2023 season.
